Deborah was born and raised in Victoria. She has lived in many parts of BC over the years, and has been a member of various choirs as time permitted, having raised three children.
In Prince George she was a member of the Cantata Singers for 15 years, and the Borealis Chamber Choir for five years. While living in Nelson for five years, she became a member of the Nelson Choral Society. Now back in her home town, she is a member of the Victoria Choral Society and The Linden Singers, and takes voices lessons at the Conservatory. She has also taken the Summer Choral and Oratorio Programs at VCM over the last four years.
The Vaughan Williams Project is a first for Deborah, and it has proven to be a great experience for her as a singer. She has enjoyed working with the talented collaborators and instructors, and learning about this fabulous song cycle.
